This information session will teach you about the aged care system in Australia and will include information about:

  • Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) - Support at Home program

  • Residential aged care

  • Steps to accessing aged care, including the role of My Aged Care and the Single Assessment System

  • Your aged care rights - Service offered by Seniors Rights Services

  • Understanding self-advocacy

  • How an aged care advocate can help you

  • Complaints and concerns about the aged care system

The information session will be followed by a Q and A section at the end.

The information session will be presented by an Aged Care Advocate for Seniors Rights Services. Seniors Right Services is a community organisation in New South Wales dedicated to protecting and advancing the rights of older people, offering legal advice, advocacy, and support services.
